This class is taught by:

Laura F

Laura is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with more than 20 years experience in the Fitness Industry. Laura is best known for her ability to develop and deliver highly effective and engaging workouts (for beginners to fitness addicts) that incorporate all the necessary elements for a great physical workout.  Laura provides workout programs that engage, motivate and empower clients; helping them to achieve a sense of well-being that will encompass the mental, physical and emotional.
In an article in the Best of Philly magazine (2009), William Rush wrote that Laura’s Power Pump Rowing Class was “the killer arm workout that we were hoping for, but the twists and turns Laura threw in with the basic strokes got our abs, too.” In the “Do it or Ditch It” portion of the article, Rush recommended, “Do it. Laura kicked our butts. The erg/mat workout was fun and kept us motivated throughout class, and three days later we were still feeling it.”

Eric S

Eric is co-owner of RowZone Manayunk and RowZone Rittenhouse. Eric teaches all group classes as well as individual erg development sessions. He is an experienced rower who competed for Drexel University's Crew Team 2005-09 as both a lightweight and heavyweight rower in both eight and four man shells. In his spare time he continues to swim in ocean swim competitions throughout the summer months and is experienced Runner/Triathlete who has competed in numerous sprint triathlons and local area running events. Come check out one of Eric’s classes to really hit those fitness goals!

Clayton G

Clayton is a multi-sport athlete from New Windsor, NY. He played basketball and rowed at Newburgh Free Academy Public High School (NFA). He won silver for the 4+ and 8+ at the Empire State Games. In the senior 4+, his boat won the first state title in school history and finished 6th in the nation. He attended Rochester Institute of Technology where he played NCAA Division 3 basketball. Outside of RowZone, you can find him in Philadelphia basketball and volleyball leagues. His classes combine his unique experiences from basketball and rowing to get max results in a fun and engaging atmosphere.

Anthony F

Anthony is a co-owner at RowZone Rittenhouse and RowZone Manayunk! He is a Drexel University graduate where he was a four year member of the varsity rowing program and served as co-captain. He was named to the Philadelphia Academic All-Area team three times and helped lead the Dragons to multiple first place finishes in the Frostbite, Bill Braxton, Kerr Cup, and Head of the Schuylkill regattas. Currently, he is an assistant coach for the Haddon Township High School rowing program and has helped coach young athletes to podium finishes in the Manny Flick series, Cooper Cup, Stotesbury Cup, and Scholastic National regattas. Anthony teaches group and individual erg development sessions. Sessions are specialized for improving 2k erg scores for high school and collegiate level athletes. Kyle O

Kyle is a graduate of the University of Connecticut (go Huskies!) where he was a four-year member of the varsity rowing team, serving as stroke seat for his varsity boat. In everything he does, and especially when he’s on the erg, he strives to give 110%. Kyle brings that same intensity to his teaching and enjoys pushing people to realize their true strength and achieve their fitness goals. Off the erg, he enjoys running on the Schuylkill, boxing, lifting free weights and hiking whenever possible. Kyle looks forward to bringing his intensity and love of rowing and fitness to RowZone.

Gary B

Gary has been a member of RowZone since June 2012. The minute he finished his first class, he knew he was hooked. He has lost over 20lbs since he started and has taken more than 4 inches off of his midsection. He has been so motivated by the transformation of not only his body, but his mind, as well. So much so, that he became a certified personal trainer, as well as CPR certified for the sole purpose of becoming an instructor at Row Zone. He has a passion and enthusiasm for Row Zone because he knows what it has done for him and is excited to seeing what it can do for others.

Carol H

Carol joins the RowZone Team as a Certified Fitness Instructor and has competed in many different types of competitions including triathlon, half marathon, Tough Mudder, Spartan and Crossfit competitions.
 
Carol believes that working out makes daily life more enjoyable and improves your quality of life.  Carol looks forward to bringing that energy to her classes by making each and every workout interesting and challenging to keep you on track with your own health and wellness goals. 

Carol's hope is to have you leave her classes feeling stronger and more confident than every before!
